By creating an alkaline environment with food, you’ll give yourself a fighting chance. Sugar and dairy both acidify the body, which if you have no defenses, will promote a cancer environment. Try soy or almond milk and eat lots of fruits and vegetables, (drink lemon water too) to bolster your immune system. Try Juicing if you can afford it but try to use the left over pulp in something like soups or stews. You need fiber to remove toxins from your body. Fight this every step of the way! God bless.
Thanks Ellie, funny you should mention it as a friend bought me a book about the alkaline diet and it’s on its way to me in the post! I am currently having a cup of tea with almond milk and it is pretty disgusting, I must say! But coffee with almond milk tasted great. I think I’ll settle with oat milk but I’m still experimenting. I can definitely see that there are plenty of alternatives to create a cancer-free environment so I’ll keep at it. Thanks for your advice! Best wishes, Laura
have you tried coconut milk Laura? it is also good… but can make you go to the bathroom too so you have to have it in moderation 🙂
Hey Ashley, I think the nutritionist recommended against coconut milk but I can’t remember the reason. I just ruined a perfectly good homemade soup with a tin of coconut milk though and I don’t think it would go very well in cups of tea so I think I’ll still with the rice/oat/almond milk for now! I have just ordered a very expensive juicer so I’ll be joining you in the crusade of juicing every vegetable under the sun! 🙂
It will probably improve your odds, but what are the odds of getting cancer before you’re 30? You have a great attitude and I think that that will serve you well in life. The second time I was diagnosed with Caner I actually laughed and told my doctor “see, told you so”. So look on the bright side of life. You probably have a great appreciation for life now that you never had before? I wish you well, and hope that in a few years you’ll find your annual check-up a complete drag 🙂
YES! Sugar is the enemy. It creates a very acidic environment in your body, which FEEDS cancer cells. And only have dairy in the form of cheese, which is sugar free. No milk, ice cream or yogurt .
Good luck!
